3 December 2017 - A total of 14 Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) students sat for the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) in Kong Zi Institute, University of Malaya. Among the 14 candidates, 2 of them took the HSK Level 1, 11 sat for Level 2 and 1 registered for Level 3. The UMP students had shown their enthusiasm in learning Mandarin as they took their initiatives to take part in the world renowned language proficiency test.
Previously, Mandarin Language and Culture Centre (MLCC) had provided HSK intensive classes in Gambang Campus to guide students to perform well in the HSK test. The instructors involved were Ms Yong Ying Mei (Director of MLCC), Mr Tan Wai Chung and Ms Hooi Yan Yee, language teachers from the Centre for Modern Languages & Human Sciences (CMLHS).
